When you love so deep, that you need to touch;
His hand or his face or just cuddle.
But the man you need is out of reach;
He's content to stay in a muddle.
He thinks he knows; assumes the worst,
But hides it all for ages.
He takes the happiness you once had;
And breaks your heart to pieces.
Looking at him makes your heart skip a beat.
You need his love so bad.
Once he felt the same about you,
But now all his talk is just shallow.
No more will he tell you how much you mean;
'Cos he no longer feels it the same.
You see in his eyes the light has gone out;
You just crave to get away from the pain.
It finally takes some little thing;
And you both agree to part.
It's bad enough to know that he's gone;
But then the abuse and insults start.
Is he trying to drive you away altogether?
Or does he think that he's laying down rules?
Change this or that, don't do this or that;
Makes you feel like your soul's torn right out!
