I saw a woman today in my thoughts.
She was the one with the big smile
and the warm heart and she laughed
with a quiet kind of shrill
though loving and wholeheartedly.
She sat under trees and looked up
to the sky-wondering what God was doing.
She asked him once again-
Is it my time yet?
And he just gazed down upon her
and said "Yes, it's time
for you to cross the meadow
and come to me and join
my kingdom."
He then dropped some blossoms
on her hair
and she felt his presence
and he said
"Child, you are the essense
of my being."
You are what I asked them all to be.
You have glowed upon the earth
like sunshine and poured it down
upon the hearts and souls
of those in need.
I then realized I was mourning
about my one kindred spirit
and sister-in-law
who left me the other day
for the stars and angels
above my head.
She will always be in my thoughts
and her family
shall always save her love
and carry it with them
until eternity...

| This makes me think of my dear friend Deanna (see my latest tribute, if you would please)- she left this earth Monday, August 28, 2008. She is all things you describe here - wonderfully-written. -- Jeff |
