Just Me
by Sherri Smith

Monday, May 15, 2006
Rated "G" by the Author.

A poem about who I really am.

I am who I am, God made me this way

Just a little plump, and hair quite gray

I cry easily, at the drop of a hat

Seeing someone else cry can make me do that

Lost children will make me sad

A child abuser just makes me mad

When I make friends, they're friends for life

I'm very happy being Steve's wife

I'm blessed with thirteen grandkids, my pride and joy

The latest was a healthy baby boy

I love to write, hate to clean

Try to never be intentionally mean

Even with flaws and some imperfections

God looks at me with love and affection

Perfect in all ways I may not be

I am who I am, I'm just me

The picture speaks for itself of a proud Grandma doing her thing. Wonderful insightful poetry.

Honesty is a wonderful thing, and you sound like a kind person, but best of all is the lack of awkwardness in these rhymes.
