Absent With Leave

I’ve had to leave these pages for a while

With a frown, not my usual sunny smile

I’m on respite from hospital for the weekend

So apologies to you I have to send

For comments and reviews left unanswered

All of which I appreciate greatly, thank you

I will endeavour to respond in due course

But I have another week or so of treatment ahead

Please excuse me while I enjoy my hours of freedom

Shouting halleluiah ‘til my voice goes hoarse

So my AD friends thank you for reviews and support

As I leave again with heavy heart stretched taut
