2,6,4 Day
Sometimes a day feels OK
Sometimes my directions lead me the wrong way
I’ve got feelings inside
Feelings I just can’t hide
I’ve got a dream to pursue now
But I just don’t know how
I know what I want
And I reach out to grab it
It’s not that easy
But I’m going to have it
I won’t give up on my dream
Just ‘cos it’s my own scheme
Vacant faces, empty spaces
That’s the difference between you and me
You with your own life
Me with mine
That’s why we’ll never be
It’s not that I don’t like you
‘Cos I don’t
It’s not that I can’t
It’s because I won’t
And it’s been a 2,6,4 day
Everything goes its own special way
But I’m stuck on a platform
Watching the trains go thundering past
I scream but all sound is lost
And a train stops at last
