There is a touch of love beneath the surface of thoughts, a love for summer and the ensueing love of fall, riding in on the winds of September....a very nice view of this change of seasons...

It's the call of autumn that moves me as well.
"puffing little whispers through knot holes"
"and watch her toe-tapping in little gusts across the dust."
Such vivid pictures. Perfect feeling to match a perfect autumn day.
Very well done.

One of the most remarkable works I have read about the coming change. This work had me sitting there with you and the ole dog, (although I probably would have given him a biscuit and barked at strangers for him). Thank you for this journey of words.
My best regards,
Chris |

What a ovely ode to September. Seems like all we remember is the darkness of one September day, and forget the beauty surrounding us. Thank you for the reminder: excellent.

| How lovely. I read it three times and enjoyed it more each time. The last stanza ends it perfectly. Yet, it's a poem you don't want to end. You're a great poet jeanne rene and I'll be reading more. |
