Oh, I'm a big fan of The Tudors. I just discovered the show a few weeks ago, so I bought the series. I'm in the middle of season two. I also think I was born in the wrong era...lol. I love your descriptions in this poem. One that sticks out is the curling spine. For me, that imagery jumps off the screen and reminds me of several scenes in the series. King Henry VIII seems to want to devour his women at times. Hugs,

| Where oh where have I been? Somewhere else when I should've been here. It seems in my time away you have graced the page with another masterpiece. This is truly remarkable writing dear Kate. What more could I add than what the others have already said except to say that I wish I'd written this! I sooo relate to the concept underlying this piece. My thoughts have run this path, but not nearly so eloquently. |

As Dawn wrote, your creativity with words is remarkable. I'm particularly receptive to the rhythm and energy and concision of the second and third stanzas.
I was thinking that it could be interesting to choose another century and... live there for a while, but then, who would you choose to be?
I guess that this "detail" is quite essential! ;)
