Crimson sky bleeds before me
Almost to set my soul on fire
With threats of red running
Down the day's end-horizon

Stark in appearance I feel
There is more within
You’re glowing crimson color
As blood grows cold inside me

Screaming out in silence
You bring and end to my day
With a beauty that is ever
So haunting in appearance

Oh of the twilight that I talk
Of the vivid purplish red
That is bleeding slowly across the sky
Bringing forth a symphony of thoughts

Critical comment or judgement
This is not of such criticism
But to honor this sky as I do
As it creates a union with the earth

To crown the earth with this
Royal headdress of red
The finches dance about
Disturbing my view of your splendor
