Hope Ends and Faith Begins

Written, 25th November 2000.
Photograph taken by Theresa Jodray.

Where does hope end and faith begin
With a soul full of despair
When did faith sneak in?
To brighten up my darkest hour
To slap me with its awesome power
Hope was hanging from a thread
Then with rope strength faith sunk in
Just when it seemed that all was lost
Someone above intervened of course
Sprinkling my heart with more then hope
They tossed me faith
My life rope

When I fall into despair, I realized that I have no control over how things turn out. That's when faith begins. Excellent poem. Absolutely beautiful photograph.

First of all, I love your little poem.

I lose hope but never get the faith. Well, maybe I do a little bit. Then I get a phone call out of the blue. I hope (oops!) it pans out when I call back Monday.
