Peter,
Another superb delivery!
"betwixt the natural and supernatural, you will always

Your ability to keep everything properly balanced, makes you the
king of survivors -and poetry- that you are!
And I heartily agree with Dr. Lilly, regarding the condition of our condition...

| Light hearts enliven the soul and energise the sorrounding aura, augmenting the sphere of light and bathing the world in sunshine, Peter... as does the acute observation and wisdom in this write. Laughter brings health to the bones, like birdsong. Go West Young Man!! I shall soon be at Lands' End, but life is DEFINITELY more paced with time and civility shared among fellow journeymen down here in deepest Doorrrrrrrrrrseeeeett. Yep, know well that of which you speak - eloquently. TY K xx |

A fantastic write about creeping decadence and nature repelling it. I would guess nature will win in the end, when encroaching society is underground and those who kept the light in sight reign. Well done.

Sir Peter ...
The internal rot has manifested itself on the surface. It is a rampant disease that is afflicting every walk of life on every level of affluence, decadence, and poverty. The threads of the fabric are unraveling at an uprecedented rate.
And aside from these perfunctory thoughts I can neither add nor subtract from Daivies biting insights below.
Light hearted is getting more and more to be a discipline garnered in the glow of arcadian contentment - not in the cities.
In fraternity and vision ...

I have strolled that same path, Peter. I look beyond the graffiti to the mentality that put it there and wonder, 'why have we decayed in morality rather than advanced?' Where was this mentality when i was a kid in th 1960s? Where did it spring from? No such distortion has impacted upon the ant, it still functions exactly the same with the same mentality intact. Likewise with the Ivy, still climbing the wall as ever and in the exact same manner. It is only the human creature that has created a world that seems to consist of wall to wall conflict. Jesus tells us not to be troubled but to look up for our redemption draws near. That's our hope, and with that we 'just stay light hearted every time'.
Thanks for a poem in which I found myself walking alongside you. |
