| yes indeed Peter, there are those who are the catalysis of spiritual developement, initiating an enlightened reaction from the source of the great alchemist ... on the other hand, organized religion is an autogenuous stimulus, independent of and often the antithesis of the truth it proclaims to administer ... it is a means of controlling the masses through fear and deception ... i do not profess a belief in the devil, except for being the negative influence in the collective psyche of mankind but if it existed, organized religion would be it main course of control .... |

| On the otherside of the coin, God has used the univesal church to bring the message for over 2000 years, without the catholic church where would we be. We owe much to St Benedict, St John of the cross, the first pope St Peter, a church that has stayed faithful to the bible, His word. Have you ever read CS LEWIS Srewtape letters... |

| Yep. It is the great diverder, I must agree. Even in the best of times Organized Religion is a scar across the face of good men and women, who only want to live their lives as they think He would want them to. Organized Religion? Not all that much difference to me than organized crime . . . |

Your words excel as a Catalyst! We forget that God's intent was (my opinion) for all to benefit from one another; from our Earth; from the beast and fowl; from all God has freely given us. Yet, there are the greedy politicians, CEOs and "church" leaders (who seem to glorify themselves rather than God) that would do otherwise...all in the name of God! And too many followers easily persuaded because of lack of true faith.
I find even the Bible being corrupted with interpretations, as well as those who would preach from it...and this saddens me.
Certainly, we reap what we sow. Or allow it to be.

Satan has performed his greatest trick and sleight of hand,... by seperating man from man, brother from brother, sister from sister,.... in the beguiling and duplicitous guise of Organised Religion.
And I think he's been doing it since mankind first walked the earth. I much prefer Private Religion - one on one with the Creator of All Things. |

To argue, feel a separation from or superiority over another because of religion, is one of the greatest wrongs that plagues mankind. Each of us is a child of God and as such, is perfect in His eyes. We would all do well to try to live up to His image of us and to learn that He is always there for us if we reach out to Him. Very nice prose, Peter.
Take care,

Peter.............OH This is tops thank you....... I believe God has the Devil on a small chain too and he is alive and awake and knows all moves in this earth..... You rested your case very well. I also sought the wisdom and insight of this one. He is no respector man or woman God allows both to follow and to flow he is a great God. jesus always deferred to the Father excellent Peter.... I would love to visit and Bible study with you.... Some good points and the ending is so true and excellent... Judgement will come one day.
I do agree a side with Dai on the organised I think man tries to make God fit the plan.... So much has been done in the Name Of God that God has not authorized and he takes the slings from all sides.... Thank God he is a Awesome Giant God over all and he can handle them :)

Yes Sir Peter ...
and I heard the gavel of your words resonate unceremoniously on the head of the enemy in this splendiferous write.
If there was ever anything absolute that Christ taught it was that He could do nothing aside from the Father.
Of course scripture also clearly delineates that there will be great deception in this world in the end days and that the most henious decievers will be working from within the bastions of the human edifice masquerading as the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. It also clearly states that we are not to fear when we see these atrocities.
I believe that the book of Jude is right before the Revelation for a reason. And ... quite frankly ... when you hear someone that is truly anointed by the Holy Spirit of the Most High God, you will never be the same again. Never rest your quill man of God!
Light and Wisdom ...

| I agree with Daibhidh. Organized religion should be based on the teaching of Jesus Christ. Sure occasionally one needs some additions which are not always clear in the Bible. But there are those who want to represent Christ for their own fortunes. It is that which is wrong. I know they are human and subject to evil as much as I am, but that does not excuse them. Victor |

Oh Peter, I am baying like a stag in unison with what you are saying here. But it is not just organised religion, but how spineless its spokesman are for God. They are more concerned with fitting God into the world rather than the other way about. Many religious leaders love the sound of their own intellect and seduce us with the liberalising views. I got converted under the solid, non-compromising, straight down the line preaching of a retired coal miner in a wee gospel hall in Whitburn. Before I heard him I had already listened to social preachers who preached a gospel that was no gospel at all. They had no conviction, and were not really bothered about the spiritual starvation levels of my soul.
Polititions and religious leaders (of the careerist kind, trying not to generalise) walk hand in hand with their duplicity. God may be pushed into the periphery of society today, but He will deal with man in His good time.
Thanks for stirring me up Peter - God bless ye ma man! |
