After the Storm Blazing bolts of lightening fry barren land Appear abruptly with no forewarning Failing to curtail the roar of thunder Pounding her wrath across the angry sky Fragile evergreen branches wave in desperation Desperately seeking solace from the relentless fury The twisted rage overpowering all in her path Endless fury without the slightest remorse She intensifies as mounds of earth embrace her bosom Blind to the obliteration left behind as she persists Sucking up and spitting out mounds of devastation Wreaking havoc on that which was once peaceful Calm and clarity set in as if never gone Fear no longer dominates the wilted soul Healing begins as grandeur spawns about Tranquility sets a new path for happiness

(((anne))) you must live in texas, for we've been INUNDATED by storms...if another 1.02 inches of rain falls, we'll have broken the record for wettest june, last set in 1928...a looooong time ago love the imagery in this powerful write, well done! refreshing as the air after the storm! lingers in the soul :) (((HUGS))) and love, karla. :)
