My Late Father's Visit

Last night, I saw my late father in my dream. Here what he told me. The title of this poem is My Late Father’s Visit.

Intense heat and body itching!
I felt that the earth was melting
Like the lava of an earthquake
As I tried to awake.
I can’t get up
But I don’t want to give up!
Suddenly, I saw the earth.
Busting fire and piles of death!

I can’t breathe, I tried to open my eyes
I kept saying, “Rise! Rise!”
But my body won’t lift
I need a helping hand or a rift.
A white horse appeared
Hilarious, I figured
But I heard a familiar noise
It was my father’s voice.

“Hump on my back
Don’t be afraid of the dark
I will love you until the ends
We are forever friends.”

He came back to you and is letting you know he is with you always in heart mind and soul. Life does go on in the hereafter, we know so.

Super Poem. I believe that sometimes in our dreams when we dream of a loved one that has passed on before us, it's their way of letting us know they're (in a way) still around to sort of look out for us. It's a nice thought anyway, smile... Thanks for sharing your heartfelt poem. I enjoyed it.
