Hello Lady Sunlight!

The day Lady Sunlight stop shining...Reflection on the need of the sun's energy...

Where are you today?
I miss your golden reflection on the bay
The earth stands still
Even the birds are ill.

Why do you hide behind the cloud?
Up in the sky, you disappear from the crowd.
Your warmth is indispensable.
You are so irresponsible!

Maybe you are held hostage.
I am in bondage.
You need to come out of it,
Or I will stop to eat.

How much longer will I wait?
When will I know my fate?
I long for your smiling face,
Which shines on me with grace!

Some days we must make our own sunshine, which isn't too hard to do. It shines within our hearts and God lets us know it. Many days are dreary , but sunshine comes to us as needed and we make it so.
Thanking God for the sun moon and stars too.

The Absence of Sunlight

Here I am
The sun
That warms
The earth
Yet in me,
Mortals find fault
Until their last breath

Here I am
They cry I'm "too hot"
They shout, I "cause drought"
And so I stay absent
And sent them clouds instead.

But still they nag.
They just don't
Get
It
Yet!

Just don't wait to long. Poeple can turn into something you don't wish to know.

:) Great poem. You have a gift.

I am here, I am here... (~_*)
Kidding aside, I really love
your smooth flowing "Hello Lady Sunlight"...
Hope she touches you with her warmth
soon.

Wonderful portrayal of the sun (or a form of writing for peace while going thru a stormy time in life--seeking light).

May the sun burn away the clouds that keep you from sharing the warmth it was intended to do.
