There in the mists of dawn
Fires burning,

Smoke

There, in the mists of dawn

Fires burning,

Keeping the fear

Of tomorrow at bay

Cold, Melancholy –

Memories intervene

Little and fragile,

Forgotten,

A remnant in time

Allow the night

At the edge to come near,

Enfold me safely and warm, until

Another journey demands me.
