Porch Light

I left the front porch… light … on

You know where to find… the… key

This place ain’t the same no more

But I’m still the same… old… me…

If you’re ever feeling lonely

If you get down and blue

I left the front light shining

An invitation just for you

If you ever think about me

With kindness in your heart

I left the front porch light on

We could make another start

Chorus

Sometimes I sit in shadows

Maybe hoping you’ll walk by

Fireflies around the porch light

Don’t seem to care much if I cry

And tonight before I go to sleep

I’ll say another little prayer

You’ll see my porch light shining

And in the morning you’ll be here…

Chorus (2) and fade

Oh Felix!!!!!!!!! This is achingly beautiful and your long absence has made me realise even more the fondness of your amazingly Big Heart and your melting ability to express it. Welcome Home dear friend! You have so been missed and I'm sure many, many porch lights have been glimmering in the dark to light your way back to us all here. It's so wonderful to read you again. Love always, Kate xx

Has the presence of a country song. Though the chorus may be too long.
