~ By Candlelight ~

her sigh

filled his mouth

with warmth

the night was soft with darkness

the moon and stars

cloaked behind clouds

lighting the night with candles

on a evening for us alone

pulling me closer

your warmth next to mine

as music wrapped us in romance

bodies swaying slowly

hearts beating in time

slow dancing through the night

I breath in your smell

as we disappear into love

for our moment in time

our souls touching

caressing love’s promise

of our tomorrows

mingling our essence

in a kiss

the candles go out one by one

on our night of

love’s perfect dance

Carole, how lovely! How quietly erotic this scene between a woman and a man and the unspoken, yet sensory touch of two closely entwined bodies and the music that, possibly, might be heard only by the two.
Makes my long for someone to hold closely.

How sensual it can be? when the candles become discreet shallowing the flame so the lovers could enjoy, in the dark, the embrace after the passion subsided.

Carole, this is as smooth and tender a candlelight dance into romance as I have ever shadowed -- I too, can close my eyes and, "breathe in the smell" of romance in candlelight, "love's perfect dance" -- the music, a serenade, a mood, a lover's etude -- you've done this thing with great style my dear friend -- peace and love -- Jon Michael
