Carole, "Words on the Wind" is absolutely beautiful. Your words, not like "words on the wind" are noticed and heard and appreciated. Beautifully well spoken words, indeed.

| "words on the wind", concepts that are cast to the same fate as lines scribbled in the sand -- here for but a brief time, laid to waste by the next breath of stirring air -- memory exists only as long as it pleases the whims of the wind -- the next word like the next thought is never assured -- give thanks and scribe the word that is here and now -- your poem is haunting Carole -- asking one to contemplate, the here the now, the possibilities the future may hold for us -- a very creative poem written with a wonderful romantic flair -- Carole, thanks for sharing this wonderful poem with me -- peace and love my dear friend -- Jon Michael |

Carole,
This is rich as good fruit cake but not heavy or stodgy, and I like in particular how the poem grows in intensity and depth as it unfolds and ends wonderfully, those two great last lines. Kudos!

"while ideas like channel markers guide you to where they hide" lines such as this in your work bring out the romantic in all us who were once sailors or just loved the sea. The ocean is romance and you captured that theme well amid crisp but cool images, well done Carole.
