Right to the bone!! Just finished reading Ann Quindlan, and your
poem made her sensitivity and empathy and genius for the written
word reverberate. I see again the home she word-pictured so
brilliantly. {I'm upset because the title of the book is eluding -- after reading the book a n d seeing the movie. 'Like movies, look
for the one with Meryl Streep, Rene Zellwegger, and Willian Hurt.
3-word title....blast! Why can't I remember???} All that aside,
I am so glad I was able to catch this. Listen hard and you will
hear me shouting E N C O R E !!!!! <3 'Pea' <3 ....PS: 'One
True Thing'`! Finally came to me!!

Houses do echo the vibrations of humans and I think sometimes they are imprinted with past energy which causes us to feel they have personalities of their own. A stunning write Carole.

this abode, not of life's experiences, an environ void of all emotion is but a place that will pay no homage to human existence -- we must paint the walls with the essences that are love, hate, compassion romance and passion -- for we and they are the message, the light or darkness as temporary residence within the walls -- I love how you painted the non-persona of the house, a place, not a receptacle or haven for life and emotion --I see you delving into the very depths of emotion as never before -- this is a magnificent work -- peace and love my dear friend -- Friend

Once, an innocent incarcerate woman for many years returned home, and the first thing she did was to remove all the inside doors to force the house to give her "freedom" and not show any closed door.
Withing a house, is a poem that's more like a state of mind than a literary statement.
Well done!
Georg

This is SOOOOOOO well done, Carole... It stands strong and develops to it's finale brilliantly... and it's interesting that I got very excited all the way through about thinking it would work so well as a metaphor for the human heart - so, for me, your conclusion was a real clincher! Totally love this. Thank you. Kate xx
