I thought that I sent a review of your excellent poem yesterday, but guess not. In writing poetry, I never have much of a problem because I know what I want to say then it just becomes a case of putting the words in the right sequence, with the right meter and, of course substituting certain words for other certain words. In writing my three books or even short stories, I would and do very often lose the word/words that I want to write and try as hard as I might, they do not come until I get up to heat my coffee, or go out and get stuck in L.A. traffic, then, when I am not trying to find the word/words, it/they come to me. See, sometimes it pays to live in a large city with traffic problems.
Your friend, Mark |

| I don't have that problem very often, but when I do come up repeatedly with a blank page it is the most frustrating thing in the world. I find myself reading. anything. I have read catchup bottles and something on it clicked and I was bake in business. Doesn't work all the time, but enough times that I still do it. |

Nice poem Carole, even blank page imagination has its muse, to seek those thoughts that elude us is to be within the realms of creativity. An enjoyable read of thoughts through poetry...

| beautiful articulation of what can be the cause of much frustration, yet your elegant words here are philosophical and gracious. Deeply reflective, this makes me think of trying to catch shimmering soap bubbles on the wind... and to hang on to them! :)) You prove that even wordless voids are never such to the able writer. xx |

We as writers, poets and dreamers must accept the flat spots of our creativity as much as we embrace the high swinging curves of inspiration that fly out past centrefield. Great capture Carole.

Carole,
A fine exploration of the creative process, its challenges and indeed the frustrations, but within the entire 'happening' there is the core of creativity and that comes through beautifully.
