Twilight Ice

twilight ice skater

chaperoned by snow angel

shy in the whiteness

~~

snowfall

a child draws the horizon

on a window

~~

icy winds

slips down a chimney

seeking warmth

~~

windows adorned

imprisoned in winters ice

crystal flowers

~~

fishing pole

idle

all winter

make winter a worthwhile experience (even when we shore
lovers) are expecting another 8 inches tonight. -gene.

I'm glad these are written in warm ink, Carole, as I wouldn't want any of them to fade - each one unique (as snowflakes are!) and capturing a quintessential "something" that is as fresh and as invigorating as that first intake of frosty air. Beautifully crafted and finely tuned. Very cool! :)) xx

Although I often curse the cold, I am so glad I live in a place that has such distinct lines between the seasons. I could so imagine that fishing rod that like mine now sits isolated in the trunk of the car while the snow and ice on the lake take precedence.
