She rests her head upon his back
and strokes his silky hair,
his heartbeat calms, her touch reassures,
their embrace, something beautiful and rare.
While others rush along their way
and miss the joy of finding
that one bright moment when life stands still
and our cares begin unwinding
these two reached out and took a chance
when they might have looked the other way
we all could learn a lesson here
we still have time today.
Hey, there...I have trouble writing a poem in a box like these provided for our comments, but I loved the chance to try. Thanks for the exercise. Carol |

Two diff'rent creatures, but much in love!
Oh, if we could learn from them, learn to see,
Pure, sweet love: a gift from the heavenlies!
That's my poem for the year! :) (Don't do poetry; I write stories! LOLOLOL)
Well done, Lin; I love it!

Friendship springs from

were as unlikely as they come,
but they were pals
united in the need for
just a bit of warmth
