Timothy Scott Figgins
August 19th, 1956--July 6, 2009

Seventh moon
 brought him down
to too much pain
for one heart to hold
Settles there you know
And clenches too tight
A fist taking you down
Down to the ground
and gone too soon
Passion wound
through strings
and rising
to a moon
that stares
Unblinking
Unthinking
 about those
low-down
Bass Man
Country
Boy Blues

Lin, I hardly have the words to express the depths of my sympathy for you and your family at this great loss. The heart is so delicate and absorbs so much of the pain that life cruelly hands out. Your brother was so young and I can only imagine the sorrow you must endure. This is a fine piece and I do hope writing it helps to ease your pain even a little. My most sincere condolences and warm hugs ~ Elizabeth

Brothers and sisters are no individuals, they are part of one entity, like fingers of a hand, you still can use it if you lost a finger, but the absence will be there, always, in that empty space.
God bless.
