Destruction by Henry Burt Stevens 7/23/2004
The new century dawned destructive threaded with an old die
A locknut soon tightened the world into war
Forces older than sand under the feet of sons of Abraham
Picked a scab soon a hemoroage from New York City to streets of Bagdad
Old hates, new weapons new lies, old pretends greed raw power faced off in ruin.

We have a responsibility as human beings to not let the "greed and raw power" overtake us or blind us to the truth. Great poem!!
