Harboured for years
among his own kind
the object of the
largest manhunt
ever conducted by
the FBI of the USA

but tripped up
by two honest
citizens and
later on an off duty
police officer

now jailed for
four life terms
the question
was justice served

this jailbird
will sing every
day his song
of hate, intolerance

his celebrity
status insures
his every word
and thought will
be transmitted
to the furthest
corner of the world

his mere
burp after supper
will drown out
the voices
of one hundred thousand

ordinary people
who witness
for love
who pray
for peace.

You are right and the police officer that he killed was the former partner of my cousin who is with the FBI during that time in Atlanta.

They say making deals allows them to get better info etc, but it makes me frustrated to see the injustice in our judicial system! No politician or anyone else for that matter, wants to tackle it. I'm sure it's too corrupt for full exposure , so we will stay with the status quo. Excellent write Henry!

yes it doesn't seem fair that one person, charles manson is another example, can be supported by the government ie us...while they spew anger and hostility toward the very people protecting them

Sad isn't it that people like this become celebritties and their names are remembered long after their victims have rotted back to the eearth.

Couldn't agree more. He, and all other murders should be put to death as quickly as is possible. Yes, I know that the death penalty does not deter crime, or so "they" say, but one thing is for certain it damn well will deter those who get it from further crimes against humanity.
