if you do not chose
to be a moral supporter
of the empire than
that is all right

there is nothing they
can do to make you
believe you need them
or even think of them

you become as morning
mist-they were
aware of you once
but not now

you are free
to be yourself
think your thoughts
travel your path yet,

one day a decree
will come down
that all citizens
must report

for a photo ID
and sign the pledge
the empire sign
will attach to you

and no empire
benefits will accrue
to you unless you
sign and accept the sign

but, that may be
a long time, besides
you may be in an
other land, already dead.

Yep, the old 666 stamped on the forehead will let the scanners know when we last visited the bathroom, I am sure... Are there enough desert islands to go round, do you think?! Cool and collected delivery, Henry. Right on the button. TY Kate x
