Inquiry

much of the news
have scabs today
if you pick at them
they bleed yellow
most providers love
to knuckle under
many love to squeal
deny, shift, excuse
they're always justified
to cooperate with
power, attack sends
them covering quickly
show me the one
that remains silent
under pressure and I'll
kneel and kiss their feet
because I need
someone to look
up to and there
aren't too many left.

| Very well written. I agree. There are fewer people to look up to these days. The media has seen to it that all dirty laundry is airred and since all heroes are human, well there doesn't leave anything to the imagination. |

I think we all are looking for the heroes of yesterdays, the Kennedys, the Marin Luthers, etc are there to be no more men or women to lead the way?

When there are fewer and fewer heroes, our need for one grows more intense. Perhaps it is time for each and every one of us to look to ourselves to be that one that rises up...
