katrina diaspora

by Henry Burt Stevens

your right to
transportation
went under
water now

we'll soak
your voter
card no
absentee ballots

far too poor
too black
too far away
and can't get back

we'll pass
building laws
that put your land
back in public domain

where we'll auction
it off to developers
who'll take care
of the property properly.

.........Por favor......If you speak Latino Spanish please comment on this translation.  It is done with an online translator.  I would like to know if it is satisfactory to convey the meaning of the poem.  Gracias, henry

"we'll pass

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>... And the SERFDOM BILL IS ABOUT TO PASS in a CONGRESS that backs violators of our Constitution (USA) in the name and glory of DEMONcracy.

A poetic accomplished task... "katrina diaspora" has delivered a profound message to strike social responsibility.

It isn't easy to rebuild a place that has once been destroyed. Your last stanza speaks some truth.
