We are all in control of our lives, but sometimes it is hard when life is treating you like this. Please don’t allow this suffocating energy into your life, as eventually your light will go out and you’ll end up existing rather than surviving.
ACT positive BELIEVE positive CAST off negativity.
Take control of YOUR life, don’t let the DARKNESS take over.

DARKNESS©
Don’t want to do anything, don’t care about life.
All around me is pain and my life’s filled with strife.
Relax, I am told. Chill out for a while
Kaftans and candles, however, are not my style.
No longer do I exist, yet somehow I survive
Emptiness surrounds me. How can I thrive?
Slowly I’m dying. My light has gone out.
Since the darkness surrounded me; my time has run out.

This is a deep and sad poem, Jill, but like Jerry, I could tell from your comments at the beginning that you know how precious both life and time are. Despite how difficult life becomes, don't ever give up!
Take care,
