Aah grandmas what will we do without them? They are truly a special breed. Unfortunately my granny died when I was yet a child, but I remember her vividly and I still feel her love. This is in memory of her- Alrica Frederica James+.

Even to me, as a child, my grandma was petite. I remember how she baked me lots of tasty treats: Home-made cakes, candies, and exotic drinks, My precious grandma really loved me, I think. I smile when I remember her, A fiesty woman with lots of vim and vigor. She worked hard and she did so everyday In the still of the night I’d hear her pray. She was always praying for someone else I often wonder why she didn’t pray for herself. God knows she needed lots of things. I just knew one day I’d give her everything. But fate stepped in and took her away from me to that palace in the skies where she now lives happily. And though I miss her presence every single day I know that my grandma Rica is never far away.

Beautiful and heartfelt tribute to your dear grandmother. I have lost both my grandmothers but I know their spirit's are with me still. Sometimes we don't realize the value of someone till we lose them.

God bless,
~Linda~

Lovely tribute for your grandmother...I too lost my grandmother, but I was blessed enough to have her with me until I was a grown woman with children. She too was a special lady whom I heard pray often, she had a heart of gold and a fiery spirit that kept one on their toes. Thank you for your wonderful, warm, and heartfelt write, also giving me the opportunity to reflect on memories of my own grandmother. Great write!
Blessings,
