Our grandson Joshua died 12 years ago today. He lived with us most of his short life. I still miss his presence in our home. Each year we celebrate his birth and death. I wrote this poem especially for him. |

When some one you love becomes
a memory, the memory becomes
a treasure.
When someone you love has left life's earthly plain,
heartfelt memories still remain.
When someone you love becomes a memory,
hold them close within your heart.
Let Gods love be with you,
for cherished feelings never depart.
You'll find comfort and peace
after the pain,
as new days come and go.
AND,
One day you will be together again.
This I'm sure of. This I know!

| When I wrote this poem in May of 2012, I never dreamed that it would have a double meaning for me now. My husband, Richard of 40 years, died July 6. I miss him terribly and days seem to blend together. As I read the poem, I wrote for our grandson , it helps to renew my faith and hope for a new and better tomorrow.... MaryGrace |
