| I like the bare bones of this, I admit to being tired of the onslaught of Katrina poems, but yours is excellent, a raw reality without being overdone. |

This poem is raw as the hurricane, bares the truth to the pain and anger that is as real as Katrina itself. Over the worlds questioning of why they do this and why don't they do that, your poem offers a true explanation...survival
