A maturing teenage girl raised by her mother and stepfather asks her mother whether she was a love child.

When you asked me if you were a love child

I didn’t know what to say.

But you must know that you were a gift to adore.

That was plain to see on my delivery day.

There was nothing I could love more.

I can confess.

There were no regrets.

You  brought me much happiness.

So when you ask that question

I must say, yes.

She is truly and always will be loved by her mother and stepfather. Saying yes was right thing to say and she should be proud of you as her parents. You chose to have her and raise her for good.

Simple, sweet, and loving; a wonderful gift for the one for whom it is written. Thank you for sharing, Carole. Love and best wishes,
