| I like the last one! LOL Those are the people who live until they're 120 years old. Believe that. Great write, had me thinking about al the ways a heart can break! And how 'we' deal with it, afterwards... ~1 LOVE |

This may be how we think, I have read it somewhere and often felt that the point of inspiration of a poem is often at the end...where we begin. I liked the last two stanzas..

Melissa, in 1966 the Bellamy Brothers recorded a song called Some Broken Hearts. The chorus from that goes:
"Some broken hearts never mend,
Some memories never end,
Some tears will never dry,
My love for you will never die."
(Bellamy Brothers, Warner Brothers label, 1966).
Many who have had their hearts not only broken, but shattered beyond any hope of repair, live lives of despair often ending in suicide. It is really sad when another human being has to be cruel to another.
The fragile crystal heart that shined in me when I was in my pre-teens, was smashed to the concrete by a selfish person who should have loved me no matter what. I know the sadness of a shattered heart.
You have written a very powerfully and emotional poem, Melissa. I also agree with Jerry, when faced with the reasons of why things will never be as they should, our hearts just sit back and take it easy unless the shattered remains be scattered all over.
This brought back very painfully sad, and horrific memories of a past that refuses to let go.
May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS))))))))))), your little sister, Barbie
"If I have to be this girl in me, Then I have the right to be." |

| That last description is probably the most common of the breaking hearts of the world. There comes a time when the heart understands that things will never be as it should, but the idea of confronting the reason(s) seems much to drastic, so it lies quietly through the pain. |
