I am recovering from a malady that has robbed me of sleep for a few weeks. Mornings are still a bit rough, kinda like this...

Today finds me, a Picasso -

All brightly misplaced bits

Of corpse and soul…

Drenched in fantasy,

Glued capriciously

With confusion

Then forgotten...

Still, pulsing erratic

Made whole outside myself

Only by the eye

Of some bewitched Artist…

Tomorrow

(the brain shards hope)

For Matisse…

The French title grabbed my attention, Melissa. This is a fine and meaningful metaphorical write. I send you love and my very best wishes.

I know exactly what you mean, Melissa. Since Sunday, Feb. 10, 08, I have been exactly like this picture, as I had another v-tach, but my defibrillator stopped it from doing any damage. The number of times the defibrillator "kicked", scared me, and it was very painful. I am still recovering, so I know what the disjointed picture of life is, during a medical recovery. Get well sis.

You wrote this poem very well, and the imagery is very good. Thank you for sharing.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), sister Barbie

You are a pretty good painter yourself, but don't discredit, Picasso, for a matisse, enjoy what you got now, and everything will fall into place, live the moment and your picasso will start looking good to you, ha, get better soon, Jasmin Horst

The scope of your despair of non-sleep and muddled morning thing come alive at your keyboard . . . Hopefully it will pass, this affliction . . . Still, it did not mar your writing ability, this was first rate . . .
