We Wait For You

I read your words
I read your heart
I saw the pain
I knew the life
you had to lead.

We did not feed
from you
although we did need
your love and caring
We loved your sharing.
So much we miss
So much we have missed.

Maybe I didn't get across
the love from above?

We gathered love from you so sweet
We soaked in love from the Baby
with dancing feet.

We held your heart
We cared for all of you
and now it's through
because of what?

I explained
it was not enough
to have a life so full
a life so busy
"where were you?"
you asked so blue
We have always been so true .

Maybe I should have moved your furniture
and rearranged the seating
and put you in a place
where we could surround you
with all our love
and protect you
from the outside.

The inside remains a mystery
We wait for a call
to let us know
when we are welcome again
to enter in
it's like a sharp pin
in the side
as time goes by
We try not to cry.

No, I do not ask for sympathy
although empathy
would be nice.

Are we going to throw the rice?

But in my long life and it's longer than you will ever know or would want to:
Friends who are Family
are always welcome
within our abode
within our hearts.

This is not a scolding
but a communication to let you know
we love you so
and wait for you.
We are so blue.

You have no idea or a clue
that we wait for you.

Two innocent hearts
one brain so lame
but we are tame
and we wait upon you.

Is this your choice?
Is this your real voice?
We do not know but we will wait for you.

We wait for you
her heart so true
mine is so blue
We wait for you.

Sad and painful no doubt to write but did with grace and a sense of hope that another life that is kinder awaits not only her but all of us.

The best things in life are worth waiting for..
In the meantime create the ideal conditions and circumstances for those glorious wishes and dreams to arise !
