Free verse

On the horizon I gaze...  No true distinction of where the earth separates from the sky.

The sun peeks out playfully from a thin line of clouds, hoping to be seen, hoping to touch as much as it can before the night takes over.

The water lay, almost still...with a few friendly ripples, introduced by the wind, all in sync, flowing together slowly, side by side.

The massive rock lies alone, content with only the water, relying on it's company as it caresses it's sides in a comforting rhythmic motion.

In this sky, from upon this rock, I can almost see a forever that doesn't really exist.

I fantasize the warmth of the sun's colorful rays carrying me to this unseen, unheard, unknown dimension.
