Womb and Sea

Luring calls of liquid purr

Ancient cradles stir and spur

History drowned beneath our feet

Hollow wallows of vain conceit

Reeling in the salty breeze

say ... see where you have been

Briny waters of our birth

Brackish, blackish days of myrrh

With rolling waves of tender beats

The womb a tomb where none have seen

Cries and pleads to Mother Sea

calm the bitterness within
