Face to face one end of the bridge from another the sun makes a gory display in the western sky wearing over applied mascara you are now facing east toward the Atlantic Sounds . . . the ocean the wind the heart unresolved issues lapping at our ankles too lightly to demand our attention Smells the ocean salt fear unreleased tension rustles through your hair you leave it disheveled turning toward me you smile like looking into the eyes of a dead flounder a thunderclap of realization this is no time to fish but to . . .

Roger,
Such a real moment between two people. Feels very serious, as if they're about to break things off. Great sounds and tone to this write. Hugs~

Cut bait?
Very "visual" poem. It was a pleasure for the senses but painful for the heart.
Nicely done. |
