A Poem about love lost.

I melted like snow
that last day of June,
the day you decided to up
and suddenly leave me.
No fan fare,
no sad goodbyes,
not even so much as a
"Screw you and the woman who bore you!"
In the Fridgedare,
you left behind
three California rolls,
a half-eaten Tuna fish sandwich and
a Pepsi One.
It might be ...
but I am not.
Silence,
in an apartment that used to
echo with your laughter.
I stare at your picture on the nightstand
next to my bed.
The picture taken on our last trip to Fantasy Land.
I came back.
How come you didn't?
