Joy

Another ancient poem from my files.

What is joy?

Joy is the smiling happy faces of little children at play.

Joy is the nervous excited daydreams of a bride on her wedding day.

Joy is catching a glimpse of a doe nuzzling her fawn.

Joy is watching the sun break over the mountains, as it unfurls a new dawn.

Joy is a mother dove beginning to coo, as she sings to her hatchling starting anew.

But most of all, joy is that special feeling between me and you.

To me joy was my 13 year old Cocker spaniel named Joy. She was a great friend but died and now is missed. I loved her and her spirit is with me til this day.

A morning poetic banquet in the lines of "Joy".

Your works build minds and souls.

In gratitude and admiration,
