I wrote this poem when I was a senior in High School. I had it published in our school's literary magazine. It was like my very own farwell.

Farwell I say.
To the town I call home.
Here I have learned
Many a thing.
I have learned,
Love, hate,
Happiness, anger,
Pride and humiliation.
I have grown,
For the better I think,
By learning all these things.
And now I must,
Must move on.
But I won't,
Forget what I've learned.
So farwell I say,
I must move on,
To use what I have learned.
