Sometimes you need to look deeper to find that which is hidden.
|
Talking sweetly to everyone he meets,
He seems so nice.
It takes only a moment to call him friend.
Surely, one as kind as he
Is one that can be trusted.
Shutting his door to his home,
The beatings and terror begins.
He smacks his wife and kicks the dog.
Even the child can not escape his rage.
For inside the kind exterior,
A man of violence and anger exists.
Calmly talking to people on the street
Everyone seems to love him.
Only his family
Fears this madman.
Even his closest friends know not of his
Vile and disgusting ways.
Is one like this,
Living next to you?

No. He was my father, the bastard, now dead and gone down not up. There is a God, a God of final justice. Amen and an excellent write yet again.

| So many are hiding behind the bland suburban doors that look like a safe haven, thanks for keeping us aware that one can not always tell a book by its cover... Sandi |

It is the face of thousands, of both genders. That is why we have news reports of murder/suicides so frequently, with ppl exclaiming that they didn't think anything was wrong.
A true to life write, sadly a too frequent occurance in society.
