BABYLON 2003
Hark, the whispers run wild
in the streets and in Bedouin tents:
“Antichrist reigns in a venal land
of corruption and guile, sending
forth from his pentagram fort
behemoths of steel, flaming
rockets delivering death –
to rout the defenseless and weak.”
Hark, the whispers run wild
in the streets and in Bedouin tents:
“Who is the Harlot of Babylon –
seducing her people with liberty
and heartlessly selling them out
to the pious invader, deluded fool,
who ravaged her wantonly,
drenching her streets in fire and blood?”

On this forty-eighth day of Spring I Salute You, Sublime Poet!
May Your days be healthy, and may Your life be long, productive and blissful.
>========================== <
"Babylon 2003" is a composition to be studied with the eyes of a logical mind, in order to review its teleological and philosophical points dealt within its body and throughout its verselines.
I have learned from a profound socio-poetic-philosophical writing.
