A DAY WITH Y O U
As darkness yields to dawn, and through
The window softly filters light,
I'm half awake and dream of you,
Of tender moments shared last night.
My love for you makes me feel warm
And happy, as I look at you
Now safely sleeping in my arm.
Soon we will greet the day anew.
~ My heart's at peace when I'm with YOU.
Our world is sunny, bright and gay
As we walk hand in hand and share
Our work and play, and live the day.
Your loving glance confirms you care
For me, and I'm secure and free
With joy. So happy is my heart,
Because it beats with love for thee
And never wants to be apart.
~ With joy to share each day with YOU.
The sun has blushed and gone to rest;
Deep shadows sweep below the crest;
The star of love now rules the sky.
The time has come when you and I
Share tender feelings once again,
With candle glow soft on your face,
Stilling your eager lips, and then
Losing myself in your embrace.
~ Your love makes me a part of YOU.

You sure know how to communicate and evoke a mood,Dietmar, in this case, tender love. This is a sensitive, warm tapestry of words that shares a common human experience in such a fresh, original way. Could visualize "the sun has blushed and gone to rest". Wow!!!
