               ILLUMINATED 

Dreaming...
     Waiting in the dark.
     she sees his hands,
     strength and gentleness working.

Wishing...
     Walking in the rain,
     she sees his eyes,
     gunmetal-gray, glistening.

Hoping ...
     Running in the sun,
     she sees nothing,
      that blinding blaze of feeling...

     He's home!
