Life is more than just what you can get. Giving....is a thing that ends up blessing you back.

A Purpose Driven Life

I’m not trying to drive the fanciest car
or get some new timms or try to do some blinging
with new diamonds from Jake.
I’m not trying to buy the newest
fashions, I love FUBU and Sean John, don’t get me wrong but…
I’m driving down the
love and spiritual road and I have other things to do.
Like passing out devotion as a
sweet treat to those who are emotionally hungry
and in serious need.

I’m not trying to be in BET or MTV
videos, shaking what my momma and God
gave me, I’m just trying to have a purpose
driven life and plant my seeds.

My life will be one where I can truly say I’ve impacted
kids I mentor and counsel.
Help guide our youth so I can help guide me too.

My purpose is to teach and love and give
all that I have.
All that God has given to me.

Maybe one day when I’m gone they will say
Mocha was “nice” and Mocha was “sweet.”
Or perhaps they will say, “I remember the time, she did
this…”

I know sometimes I may not travel a smooth road
where flowers often blossom but maybe one rose
or two may pop up.

I know that I rather go in a class room to teach
my Juniors how to write a poem effectively.
Or have a chat with a youth who is truly struggling
with a family issue.

I just am happy to be able to provide something deeper
than big dollars and material things.

Cause love and planting seeds of hope and change
is something that God would have me do and I am happy
to provide these things freely.
