family type
seems high school history teacher
wants to discuss
small pox
and who and who not
gets vaccinations
my daughter demands one
ok
all I want for Christmas is a small pox shot
“can it kill you”
well I think so that’s the trouble
“are we gonna get it”
well I can’t say for sure
depends
but I can tell you this
there have always been things
lots of things
to worry about
and if we spent all of our time
thinking about the bad stuff
the scary what if stuff
then you see
we couldn’t enjoy what we have
anything anytime can happen
I can’t worry all the time
about everything
small pox included
all I can do
is know that whatever happens
we’ve been lucky, we’ve been blessed
to have what we have
to have
each
other
babe turn off the tv, throw out the papers,
and honey see your counselor tomorrow
and get
the hell out of that class
