do you ever think
Dedication page
I mean you know if you ever
Publish and you really Get to
dedicate your heart soul and words
I know lots of you guys have already
and I’m proud of that really kinda
in a green sorta way
but for the likes of me
I just get to pipe dream
I let my wana be writer self
go down that road last night
I’m all tucked in, lights out, alls quiet
I’m thinking of picking up this book
My book
I’m thinking of titles like
“it’s not just poetry”
“Not E for everyone”
“who says it has to rhyme”
and I open this dream book
and of course read that all illusive congress number
the copyrighted by jargon
so sweet this page
and then flip on
the Dedication page
and then my mind starts filling it up
goes something like this

for- all the souls at who read me
and said so
Krissy Norment, who broke my IM cherry
Eileen Waldron who kicked my butt time and time again
Robert Judeace who I just friggin admire
the texas twins Karla Dorman and Karen Vidra
who have given me more cyber hugs than a person should be allowed
TRASK who advised me once to just get laid
Elizabeth Lucas Taylor ~E, who was the first to say “Publish”
Matt Miller, who provided the soil that grew this book
Larry Skahill, for Always making me laugh
Marilyn Seray, who is just beautiful
Peggy Bertrand – lady peg, solid comfort and praise
Labelle- red headed mistress of romance
Sue and Margie Hess – the coolest mom/daughter duo
Amor Sabor – the dude, who just believed in me
Super Girl – my soul friend
John Reilly – pinky swear (your copies coming)
John Dempsey – more balls and talent than is acceptable
Jay Chatlin – because he agreed with Eileen
Chris Stevens – for lending his muse and all the email funnies
Ted Sheridan – the poetry dueler extraordinaire
Dreamweaver – an amazing soul
Tinka Boukes – my orange eating friend
P. Gomes – who gives great pat on the backs
Joel Raja Kumar J – my friend from India
Floria Kelderhouse – who called me an “artist”
to every single one of you that said “well done” “I get it”
I love you and I thank you
to all the flesh and blood folk
who keep my dance card full

Barbara Clarkson
Michelle Arensdorf
Tracy Azevedo
Steven Flores
Albena Rabchev Leon
Mike Ligon and Lisa Bortolotto
The Turning Pages Book Club
Mindy and Julie
and to my fingers that kept the beat of my heart.

there’s a Dedication page

Interestingly enough, you just blurbed out the title to the book "Pipe Dreams"...I just may reserve my copy now, Josefina...for it shall be a reality without doubt in the near future. There is no reason why you cannot produce word salads.

There you go again making me want to kick your butt;-)...I think you have everything it takes to see a dedication page, all except perhaps for one thing...the hunger;-)you need it in the gut and with your job and family it isn't easy to self-motivate, otherwise we'd see you in print, dear Josie.
