Let Us Seek New Journeys Together

When a freshly minted couple set out to explore each other what better location for steamy sex than a tropical jungle

Let Us Seek New Journeys Together

Let us seek new journeys together
and in unknown places cast off
these familiar clothes and grasp a
chance to be different people.

Lost, each in the other we can learn
nature's education as memories
seeded by our ancient ancestors
are unlocked with the senses' key

Carelessly abandoning ourselves
to the unknown secrets of new love,
as we wear faces unrecognized
outside this special hidden place

Or clothe ourselves in animal - skins,
paint naked flesh with clay and berries
and slick – limbed, intertwine
like vines in some dark, scented forest.

Let us find lost roads that lead to
temples of old gods confined by tight -
lipped prophets in deep prisons,
to bathe ourselves in ancient magic.

On altars of sacred lust we can sever
the ties that bound us in the service
of unholy priests, give up their poisoned
blessings and let joy be our prayer.

In the shadow of a trilithorn
made by passion, flesh and freedom
we can celebrate the forbidden rite
while those who would constrain us fret

for loss of their posessions while we
lie joined where the sacred rivers of
Earth and Sky meet in two places.
The Hunter and the moon - godess

will join and in the great inundation
sail together on boats of stone into
the dawn of a new universe where
we will seek new journeys together
